Business Development Professional Description:
a.Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering / Bachelors of Arts in Business or MBA or equivalent, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in selling Energy Services Performance Contracting Projects, Design/Build Projects, and Account Management. Be well polished and confidently present the ESPC process.
b.Great writing skills and excellent presentation skills are very important and are a key requirement. Ability to present In front of large groups of people in a public forum is required.
c.Being able to work with a team and leading the effort in selling ESPC and Design/Build work is a must.
2.Ability to market Apollo Solutions Group ESCO Services, seek out potential clients, qualify the clients, explain the Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) Services Process. A business development professional with Apollo Solutions Group will have to be able to do the following duties:
a.Targeting and Introductory Meeting with the Economic Buyer - Target potential clients, make contacts at the highest levels of the organization, preferably with the economic buyer, and gain an audience with them to present the ESPC process and see if there might be an interest. If there is an Interest, gain approval to present the process to the governing board of the public or private entity. Must learn the ESPC Process Inside / Out, and have excellent presentation skills.
b.Qualify the client: Can the client pay for a project? Can the client take out a loan that would be partially or completely funded by the energy and ops savings. If the project is only partially funded by the project's energy savings, can the remainder be funded by client's capital? Be well polished and confidently present the ESPC process.
c.Preliminary Energy Audit: Assist the development team by getting the client to sign the utility bills release form. Collect 3 year's worth of utility bills. Understand and document the client's cost effectiveness criteria. Assist in preparing the Investment Grade Audit (IGA) Proposal. Work with the state energy agencies, such as DES (WA), CEO (CO), DEQ (MT), DPW (ID), and DGS (CA), to approve the IGA Proposal and justify the costs. Prepare the presentation to the client's board, city council, and so forth.
d.Investment Grade Audit: Attend all team meetings, helping keep the schedule for finishing the IGA and presenting the final numbers to the client. Present the final set of projects to the client's board, council, or board of commissors.
e.Construction: Maintain contact through the project and attend critical construction and design meetings.
f.Measurement and Verification: Transition the project into the M&V period and after the agreed upon M&V period present the findings to the client.
