Apollo was awarded the full mechanical scope of work on the construction of a brand new 330,000 square foot high school.
Hurdles/ Accomplishments: There were 87,000 clashes identified and corrected through the BIM process. Issues with the original design have created a three-month delay in the original schedule. However, Apollo has never missed a single completion date and has been acknowledged as the leading partner on the project. With Apollo continuing hard work, the project team is confident that the school will still be able to open on time.
Upon completion, Eisenhower will be the largest high school in Washington (including all covered storage and support buildings). That record will stay in place until 2015, when Apollo finishes Davis High School, which will be 359,000 total square feet.
